One of the first things you’ll notice is the menu’s focus on rustic Italian fare. The star of the show is undoubtedly the sandwiches, which are served on homemade schiacciata, a Tuscan flatbread that’s a perfect balance of soft and crunchy. A fan favorite is the "schiacciata with prosciutto and pecorino," a simple yet delicious combination that exemplifies the beauty of high-quality ingredients. The flavors are bold but not overwhelming, letting each element shine.

The beauty of All'antico Vinaio lies in its authenticity. They don’t overcomplicate their dishes, but rather, they showcase the natural flavors of fresh, locally sourced ingredients. The chefs here take great pride in creating dishes that are both straightforward and incredibly satisfying. For example, their "tagliere" is a perfect appetizer to share. It’s a platter filled with a variety of cured meats, cheeses, and spreads, offering a perfect balance of salty, creamy, and savory flavors.

Beyond sandwiches, you’ll also find a selection of pastas and salads that truly capture the essence of traditional Italian cooking. The "pappardelle with ragu" is another crowd-pleaser, with tender pasta drenched in a rich, slow-cooked meat sauce. Each bite feels like a celebration of rustic, home-cooked Italian goodness.

The wine list is carefully curated, offering a variety of Italian wines that perfectly complement the bold flavors of the menu. • The legendary sandwich shop from Florence is finally here! All'Antico Vinaio is a sandwich shop from Florence Italy that went viral in the last few years and has since expanded internationally, including LA, Vegas, and NY. So much so that you can even find a location here in Venice. This location is small with limited seating so it can get pretty hectic. That being said, the staff seems pretty efficient and gets things moving quickly. Whether you want to get a sandwich with crushed pistachio cream or truffle honey, they have something for everyone! Their Italian cold cuts in each one are delicious. The sandwiches are amazing and the bread is nice and flaky but a few things are just not the same. First, the bread just doesn't seem to have the same consistency and freshness as Florence. Second, they aren't nearly as generous with the amount of meat and ingredients you get inside. Third, and related to the first two, is that despite getting a lesser experience you are paying a premium price! The combination of these, coupled with the fact of how good the original is, means I can't really give them more than 4 stars. Overall, if you are craving an Italian sandwich and just want a quick bite, you won't be disappointed. But if you are coming to relive your experience from Florence, you'll find something missing.

  • We visited this location and had lunch. The quality of the food is very high, the “schiacciata” is very similar to the one they serve in Florence, maybe just less oily than the Italian one. It reminded us our lovely Italian food, absolutely a place to visit (on Sunday we had to wait in line for a bit but it is worth the wait). Staff very friendly, maybe would be better to pay first and then order then the other way around.

  • This is truly a delicious sandwich. I have had a lot of Italian style sandwiches in Italy, SF, LA, the east coast, etc, and the ingredients and overall creation of this was extremely strong. Try the Venice and add avocado. I also dropped half my sandwich as they were handing it to me, and they were gracious enough to make me a whole new sandwich. It was very kind!

  • I have visited the sandwich place originally in Rome and I’ve been meaning to try the LA locations. Happen to be in Venice for Fourth of July and figured it was time to pop in here. It’s a small little space with only room inside to order sandwiches but the employees behind the counter are very knowledgeable and very excited to take your order. Got the recommendation and try the Special of the month which was a Philly sandwich then I also tried the New York roast beef sandwich that was normally on the menu. You can tell that the bread is freshly made, their meats are good and the vegetable and sauces that they use on their breads are fresh and yummy. The sandwich is big so share it unless you have a huge appetite like I do.

  • Expensive but delicious Italian sandwiches. Honestly can eat everything off the menu. This place is definitely a must stop for anyone visiting SoCal. I wish you guys would open up shops in the bay!

  • A beach day favorite! We love to snag sandwiches from here for our beach days. Pro tip order ahead and pick up your order as parking is limited and there can sometimes be a long line on the weekends. We like the District and Toscana. The fresh focaccia bread takes it over the top. Not to mention their spreads. Always a delight! Enjoy! Xx, H

  • Delicious sandwiches. A friend recommended this spot - they are not really a sandwhich person but will eat from here. The bread and spreads are the highlights. The pistachio creamy spread that came on LA Broadway was delicious. I also tried the truffle spread from my friend's Manolo. All the ingredients are super fresh, and the sandwhich is huge.
